Kattre's Korner
Learning together. Growing together.
Below are pictures of the supplies for our hole punch Christmas tree ornament center. The paper they hole punch is a little thick, so it takes some strong hand muscles to punch it out. Then they use those little pincher fingers to pick up and glue the small pieces onto a Christmas tree they cut out. A few of the kids who did this center and below also. (Back row - Mikayla, Lauryn, Laney, James Front row - Makenzie, Jayda, Zoey, Kameron) The next group is Ilija and Kalila, who are both working on the pinning activity. They take a push pin and poke it into each of the dotted lines on a Christmas picture. More pincher practice!! Here we have Kameron, Ayden, and Lauren at the bead and tong activity. The kids had to take the tongs, pinch one bead, and put it into the right color spot in the other plastic container. I'm wondering if after mastering this center, maybe ordering in Chinese and using chopsticks would be excusable?? :) The last activity for this week is the Spirograph. I'm sure you can all remember these from your childhood. They definitely aren't as easy as I thought they would be for the kids. It'll take some practice, but they're all still excited to try it out! Dominic, Jayda, and Colin working hard. I can't tell you how excited the class is while doing these activities in the morning. Thanks to some generous donations from a couple familes so far, I've been able to put together four new centers for next week. The kids are SUPER excited about them, and I can't wait to show you pictures next week! Thank you again to those who have been able to help out our class. We appreciate it more than we can express in words! :)
